Inter-Universities Sports Competition: Sports event for Technological and Computer Universities

The 2023-2024 academic year Inter-Universities Sports Competition for the Technological and Computer Universities, under the Ministry of Science and Technology, kicked off at Wunna Theikdhi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on Sunday.

The opening ceremony was attended by Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win, who delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of fostering well-rounded individuals with academic excellence and physical and mental fitness.

Highlighting the council's commitment to organizing sports competitions to nurture the youth, Vice Senior General Soe Win urged participants to strive towards becoming good citizens dedicated to the well-being of the nation.

The 13-day competition aims to elevate the sports standards of Technological and Computer Universities, identify and develop talented athletes, instill teamwork spirit through physical activities, and produce disciplined and qualified athletes. A total of 437 representatives, including team managers, coaches, and athletes from 14 teams representing technological and computer universities across Myanmar, are participating in various events.

The competition, scheduled from January 21st to February 2nd, will be held respectively at Wunna Theikdhi Stadium, and training grounds in Nay Pyi Taw.
