International Surf Association 'welcomes' pause in Olympics works at Tahiti venue

The International Surf Association (ISA) welcomed the decision by authorities to suspend the construction of a judging tower at the planned Olympic surfing venue in Tahiti for the Paris 2024 Olympics events.

Work has been suspended after damage was done to coral during tests last week, raising the prospect that the Pacific island will be stripped of its hosting rights.
