Japan annual tulip festival

Crowds of people are flocking to a flower park in a city in Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo, feasting their eyes on tens of thousands of tulips in full bloom.The annual tulip festival is underway at a flower park in the city of Sosa, Chiba Prefecture.

Locals have planted around 60,000 tulips on a site spanning roughly 2,100 square meters.Eleven varieties of tulips are on display at the park. A city official says the tulips are expected to be at their best on the weekend, and they are receiving inquiries even from outside the prefecture. He says he looks forward to welcoming many visitors.
