Major General Zaw Min Tun, leader of the Information Team of the State Administration Council, provided updates on the arrest of four suspects led by Ming Xuechang. He said Myanmar conducted cooperative action once the arrest warrant was issued by the Chinese government. On Thursday, the Tatmadaw arrested Ming Xuechang, Ming Guoping, and Ming Zhenzhen in the Laukkai area.

During the arrest, Ming Xuechang shot himself with an illegally held pistol, leading to his death during the treatment process. His body and the remaining two suspects were transferred to the China Police Force at Yan Lon Kyaing Border Post.

The Maj-Gen continued that Myanmar is cooperating with China in combating online frauds. There is also fake news concerning the issuance of an arrest warrant for Bai Yichang, son of Bai Sou Cheng. This was instigated by the MNDAA, originating from the conflict between two clans of the Kokang area.

MNDAA and their alliances carried out measures to cause instability in the northeastern part of Shan State, manipulating the firm decision of the Myanmar and Chinese governments to eradicate online frauds.

Major General Zaw Min Tun explained that there are rumors spreading that security units were formed in the ministries in Nay Pyi Taw. He reassured that the situations are normal in Nay Pyi Taw as well as in other big cities in Myanmar.

Security operations are being carried out in some townships in Sagaing Region, Rakhine State, and Chin State. Regarding ongoing armed conflicts, Maj-Gen mentioned that operations are underway at Namtkham, Tamoenye, and Hopan in the northeastern part of Shan State, with drop bomb attacks by the MNDAA.

There are also fire exchanges in Chin Shwe Haw near Laukkai. In Loikaw, there are attacks near Loikaw Prison, with insurgents retreating with many failures. Attacks were also launched in Mobye and Demoso. In Rakhine State, there were attacks at Don Nyo Police Station near Myanmar-Bangladesh Border Post 46, north of Khamaung Seik.

In Pauk Taw, AA launched an attack at the police station, spreading rumors that they gained control over Pauk Taw. They retreated once the combined force of Tatmadaw and Myanmar Police Force arrived. He reiterated that cooperation between Myanmar and China will be made to tackle the issues and achieve stability in border areas.
