A Magnificent Landmark in Nay Pyi Taw: Pilgrims visit Maravijaya Buddha Image

The Maravijaya Buddha Image, the world's tallest sitting marble Buddha Image located in Nay Pyi Taw Deckkhina Thiri Township, has become a significant attraction drawing visitors from across the country.

On Saturday, a diverse group of visitors, including farmers from Yangon, Bago, Ayeyawady, and Mandalay Regions, along with a production crew from Thailand, had the opportunity to experience the splendor of this remarkable monument.

These farmers were in Nay Pyi Taw to attend the Seed Fair organized by the Agriculture Department, while the Thai crew's visit was facilitated by Sai Swe Co,. Ltd and the Best International Travel Agency of Thailand.

After being introduced to the construction processes of the Buddha Image through a video presentation, the pilgrims took a tour of the Buddha Park, exploring various attractions including the Repository, miniature scale models of the Maravijaya Buddha Image and Buddha Park in the Archive Room, documentary photos, Aggadipati Sasana Beikmandawgyi, Stone Inscription Ceties, and other religious edifices.

During the visit, the pilgrims made cash donations, further contributing to preservation of the Buddha Image.
