Meeting & Inspections in Hlaingthaya: SG meets chairmen of industrial zones, makes inspections

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Saturday met with chairmen and members of the Yangon industrial zones committees and MSME entrepreneurs.
In this meeting at the KaNaung Hall of the Hlaingthaya Industrial Zone, the Senior General heard report on data of Hlaingthaya Township, history of the Hlaingthaya Industrial Zone and operations, industrial zones development works, roads upgrade and plans.
Also, Chairman of the Hlaingthaya Industrial Zone made a request for permission to import raw materials. In his response, the Senior General stressed that the regional government needs to make efforts to generate electricity using natural gas, solar energy and wind power generation.
Manufacturing can be carried out only when enough electricity is available in industrial zones. Regarding raw materials, if manufacturing can be carried out mainly with local raw materials rather than importing, it can reduce the consumption of foreign currency.
Efforts must be made for the development of education and health sectors in Hlaingthaya Township.Town Plans need to be developed and carried out in an orderly manner for urban and housing projects. Schools need to be in good condition and there needs to be basic education schools in wards. Regarding the industrial zone, the people working in the zone must be provided with convenience, the Senior General added.
After the meeting, the Senior General inspected the Bayintnaung Bridge Park and Bayintnaung Park construction sites, heard report and called on concerned officials to make the park green and beautiful so that the people can relax and have peace of mind. Also, the Senior General made inspections in the township and gave necessary instructions.
