Meeting for tourism development: MoHT UM held a meeting with academic personnel

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Thet Thet Khaing met with academic personnel from the Universities and Colleges conducting tourism subject and responsible officials from Myanmar Tourism Federation and its affiliated associations at the Ministry on Tuesday via online. 

The meeting aims to market Myanmar's major tourist destinations, surge tourist arrival and promote digital tourism.Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister underlined the importance of tourism which contributes to foreign-exchange earnings, generates income and jobs.

She said that the tourism development is directly related to the situation of tourists' arrival and called for concerted efforts to boost the tourists’ arrival, promote destinations for domestic tourism recovery and make Myanmar's tourism image brand known to the world. Then, the attendees gave sector-wise discussions respectively and the Union Minister supplemented the needs upon the reports.
