Monkeypox cases spreading due to local transmission

On Thursday, Director General of disease prevention and control at ministry of health said the spreading of monkeypox, known as MPOX disease, in Indonesia was caused by local transmission. So far, a total of 15 MPOX cases have been discovered in Indonesia, with 14 of them being active cases.
Previously, Jakarta health department has reported that MPOX cases increased to 15 cases. 14 out of 15 people are still active cases. All these 14 patients are being isolated in hospitals. Eight people who are suspected or have symptoms of MPOX have undergone PCR Testing in laboratory.
Two people are considered showing symptoms but have not yet undergone PCR testing, additionally, 16 other people who were previously suspected have been declared MPOX-negative.
