Myanmar-Sri Lanka: SAC Chairman received ambassador of Sri Lanka

The Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received H.E. Mr. J. M. Janaka Priyantha Bandara, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, who has completed his tour of duty in Myanmar at the parlor of the Office of the SAC Chairman in the Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on March 5th.

Along with the SAC Chairman Prime Minister, Council Joint-Secretary Lt-Gen. Ye Win Oo, Deputy Prime Minister Union minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe also attended. During the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on the bilateral friendship and diplomatic issues, status of mutual cooperation in the religious matters, the members of Sangha and Buddhist nuns studying in Sri Lanka and conferring religious titles by Myanmar to the prominent and Senior monks from Sri Lanka, issues of cooperation for the development of tourism industry, boosting bilateral trade and collaboration in investments, mutual cooperation for the education sector and the preparatory works for holding free and fair election in Myanmar.

After the meeting, SAC Chairman Prime Minister and the ambassador of Sri Lanka exchanged memorable gifts.
