Peru authorities raid president's home over corruption allegations

Peruvian authorities raided President Dina Boluarte's home and the government palace early Saturday as part of an ongoing corruption investigation related to undisclosed luxury watches.

She reacted on Saturday, calling the raid arbitrary and disproportionate.Media in the South American country reported in March that an analysis of more than 10,000 photographs showed she has a collection of luxury watches, including one valued at up to 14,000 dollars. She claims that she bought the watches with money she earned, and vowed to explain how she had obtained them.
