Pre-coordination meeting :22nd Myanmar Traditional Medicine Conference & Seminar

The pre-coordination meeting of 22nd Myanmar Traditional Medicine Practitioners’ Conference and Myanmar Traditional Medicine Seminar was held at MICC II in Nay Pyi Taw on 20th December.

At the event, Director-General Dr Su Su Dwe of the Traditional Medicine Department presided over the meeting together with the members of the Chairman of Myanmar Traditional Medicine Practitioner Association U Soe Win and Chairman of Myanmar Traditional Medicine Producers and Entrepreneurs’ Association U Maung Maung Oo .

At the meeting, the patron of the meeting Director-General Dr Su Su Dwe clarified the work processes regarding with the conference. First, she elaborated four proposals including to cooperate with related professionals and international traditional medicinal universities and organizations for the development of traditional medicine to develop safe and high-quality traditional medication, to conduct capacity building training courses for traditional medicine practitioners to improve quality of traditional medicine related subjects and to raise public awareness in public health and health-related knowledge through traditional medicine, to be submitted to the conference.

Next, the representatives of the conference were set up four groups and discussed the proposals as per the group and selected the representatives who will submit the proposal to the conference. The representatives visited Maravijaya Buddha Image at noon.

The 22nd Myanmar Traditional Medicine Practitioners’ Conference will be on 21 December, and the Myanmar Traditional Medicine Seminar will be on 22 December at MICC II in Nay Pyi Taw
