President Xi meets Vietnam's National Assembly chairman

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday met with Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue in Beijing.

During the meeting, Xi called on the two sides to make joint efforts to promote more achievements in the building of the China-Vietnam community with a shared future, to serve the modernization of their respective countries, to better benefit the people of the two countries, and to make greater contributions to the cause of world socialism.

As this is Hue's first visit to China after assuming the presidency of the National Assembly, Xi expressed his belief that the visit would further strengthen the friendly relations between the National People's Congress (NPC) of China and the National Assembly of Vietnam and enrich the connotation of the China-Vietnam community with a shared future.
