Providing Assistance: MRCS provides assistance for flood hit victims in Bago

Myanmar Red Cross Society donated cash assistance and consumer goods to the flood hit victims in Bago Region.

Chief Minister U MyoSwe Win attended the ceremony, held at the City Hall in Bago on Saturday. The Chief Minister expressed gratitude for contribution of the Red Cross society in humanitarian assistance and disaster respond measures.

During October 2023, Bago Region faced the most severe flood in more than 80 years. With the collective efforts for the local administrative bodies and social organizations, rescue and response measures have been carried out systematically.

During the ceremony, assistance have been provided for 1,424 households in 5 wards and 6 villages after conducting survey on set criteria.
