Receiving diplomat: DPM Union FM received Bangladeshi Ambassador

U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received H.E. Dr. Md. Monwar Hossain, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, at 10 AM on 5 December 2023 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Yangon.

During the call, they cordially exchanged views on further consolidation of bilateral relations between the two countries, expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in various areas including bilateral trade, investment and connectivity, successful commencement of repatriation of verified displaced persons from Rakhine State as well as regional and international matters of common interest.

In the afternoon, Myanmar delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe departed for China to attended the 8th Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Foreign Ministers’ meeting. The delegation was seen off by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar Mr. Chen Hai and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Yangon International Airport.
