Recitation of Uppatasanti Sutta: Mon CM attends recitation of Uppatasanti Sutta

The ceremony 18-Day uninterrupted recitation of Uppatasanti Sutta was held at Kyaikthanlan Pagoda platform in Mawlamyaing Township on Monday along with the attendance of Venerable Sayadaws, Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, Chief Justice of State High Court, State Government Ministers, Heads of Departments and well-wishers.

First, the congregation took five precepts from Chairman of Township Sangha Nayaka Committee, Presiding Sayadaw of Thiri Mingala Daw Lan Monastery in Mawlamyaing Township and took the Myitta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha.

Afterwards, State Chief Minister, concerned officials and well-wishers donated offertories to the members of Sangha and the congregation shared the merits gained after listening Ovadakatha from venerable Sayadawgyi. The Uninterrupted Uppatasanti Sutta recitatopm is going to conduct from 18th of December to 5th of January.
