Religious Affair: Union Minister addresses Master of Ceremonies training

Opening ceremony of the Master of Ceremonies training course was conducted at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture on Monday in the presence of Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin, Deputy Minister U Aye Tun, Permanent Secretary, Directors-General, departmental personnel and trainers as well as trainees.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Union Minister said that the training course is set to be conducted for 2 weeks for 26 trainees to engage them in organizing the grand religious ceremonies such as annual Waso and Kathina robes offering, water pouring and religious title offering ceremonies systematically. He emphasized the need for the trainees to be proficient in planning the ceremonies as the Ministry is responsible for planning national-level religious ceremonies.

The Union Minister also urged all the trainees to strive to become good MCs and to learn through theoretical and practical aspects to be able to successfully and systematically organize the religious ceremonies in accordance with religious procedures.

The training course covers the subjects and knowledges related to MC skills joined by 3 trainees from the Ministry, 13 trainees from the Department of Religious Affairs and 10 trainees from the Department for the Promotion and Propagation of Sasana.
