Religious Affairs: Abbot Training Course completion & Diamond Jubilee celebration

Two-year diploma course at Abbot Training School in Myitkyina was successfully completed on December 30th.

The completion ceremony was graced by the member of State Sangha MahaNayaka, KhaymarThiwun Monastery Sayadaw, and other revered members of the Sangha. Following the religious proceedings, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and officials donated offertories to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha.

Subsequently, completion certificates were presented to the diploma holder Sanghas, and the merits gained were shared. The school is set to continue to open the 13th diploma course.

In a separate event, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, accompanied by his wife and officials, attended the 75th-anniversary Diamond Jubilee of LungsengJubali at the Church in Tanghpre. They participated in blessings and preaching programs alongside the reverend and villagers. They also explored an exhibition showcasing the rich history of the church and delighted in a performance by a traditional band.
