Religious Affairs: Mon State CM visits Kyaikthanlan Pagoda

Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein attended the completion ceremony of the uninterrupted recitation of Maha Pathana Dhamma Discourses which was conducted for 5 days at Kyaikthanlan pagoda in Mon State on Friday morning.

First, the ceremony was opened by recitation of Namotassa three times and the congregation observed five precepts administered by the Presiding Sayadaw of Pitaka Kyaung Sarthintaik Baddanta Pannavamsa and listened to the Paritta Suta recited by the members of Sangha.

Next, Mon State Chief Minister, state ministers and officials offered the offertories to the Sayadaw and monks and the ceremony was concluded by reciting Buddha Sasanan Ciram Titthatu after sharing the merits gained.

Then, Mon State Chief Minister paid homage to the Kyaikthanlan pagoda and inspected the prayer halls, buildings with tier spire roof on the pagoda platform in terms of renovation purposes and coordinated the needs upon the discussion with concerned officials.
