Renovation Works: Roof repairing works by MLCP complete 85%

The renovation works for the Government Technical High School (Sittwe) damaged by the cyclonic storm “Mocha” hit Rakhine State have completed at 85% on 20th June, said, the in-charge of renovation works of GTHS.

The In-Charge explained the status of renovating Government Technical High School.

Renovation In-Charge, Thet Oo Htin said "As in the priority place, the roof repairing works have been finished for nearly 16 out of 19 buildings here in Government Technical High School (Sittwe), it is completed at 85%. We have only to continue for the remaining three buildings and car stand."

In the Government Technical High School (Sittwe), there are 19 buildings which needed repairing of roof. The tearing off the roof, peeling of the galvanized iron sheets and falling down of ceiling took place at almost every school building of the Technical High School due to the very severe cyclonic storm "Mocha" made landfall on 14th May.

The Myanmar Licensed Contractors Public Co., Ltd is undertaking the rehabilitation and reconstruction works of the Government Technical High Schools (Sittwe).
