Repealing Party Registration & Dissolving: UEC announced party registration repealing and dissolving

The Union Election Commission issued an announcement (49/2023) regarding with appealing party registration and dissolving party of its own volition on 22nd November. In the announcement, it’s described that Mro Ethnic Pary was granted to register as political party on 4th May, 2023 with party registration no (11).

Regarding with the submission of Mro Ethnic Party to permit dissolving of party together with the decision of the party executive committee meeting, the management committee meeting (33/2023) of the Union Election Commission held on 22nd November, 2023 decided repealing of party registration and dissolving party in line with the section-19, sub-section (a) of Political Parties Registration Law.

Hence, the UEC repealed the registration of Mro Ethnic Party as political party and dissolved the party as of 22nd November, 2023. The announcement was signed by the UEC Chairman U Thein Soe.
