Response to Fake News: Some media releasing fake news to incite stability

An illegal subversive media has been spreading fake news on social media claiming that the NatThanKwin market was engulfed in fire on January 7 due to heavy weapon launched by the Tatmadaw in KyaukKyi Township of Bago Region.

According to a responsible security official, the explosion occurred and the market was ravaged by fire due to heavy weapon fired by terrorist insurgents to Tatmadaw personnel who were in conducting security operations.

Terrorist insurgents are brutally committing terror activities to destroy the lives and property of the innocent people and propagate false information through illegal subversive media outlets in order to cover up their destructive acts.
