Responsible Agriculture Practices: 23rd Edition of Farmers' Forum held in Yezin

The Department of Agricultural Research organized the 23rd edition of the Farmers' Forum in Yezin on January 20th.
The event saw the presence of Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation Dr. Tin Htut who engaged in discussions concerning the crucial role of farmers and farm product dealers in advancing the agriculture sector. He underscored the importance of responsible distribution of agricultural inputs to prevent the excessive use of chemicals in farming. He emphasized that the future of the agriculture sector relies on maintaining a healthy ecosystem.
The Deputy Minister urged all participants to actively engage in research to develop good agricultural practices that support the survival of friendly insects, crucial for the pollination process. The forum addressed two main topics: "Production and distribution of quality paddy species" and "Seeds production through collaboration of farmers," with enthusiastic participation from farmers.
