Sino-Myanmar relation: SAC Member MOHA UM on working visit to China

At the invitation of a member of the State Council, Minister for Public Security H.E.Mr Wang Xiao Hong, Myanmar delegation led by Member of the State Administration Council, Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae is in People’s Republic of China on working visit to discuss law enforcement and security cooperation from 24th to 29th of April.

On 24th of April, they were welcomed by Deputy Minister for Public Security of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Xu Datong, Ambassador of Myanmar to China U Tin Maung Swe, and Military Attache` Brig-Gen Zaw Zaw Naing in Beijing.

On the morning of 25th April, Myanmar delegation visited Beijing Police Academy. And in the evening of the same day, they attended the Myanmar-China Ministerial level meeting held at Bejing Rui An Hotel. During the meeting, cooperation between the two countries including Security, rule of law, peace and safety of the people in border area, eradication of online fraud, human trafficking, and illegal drug trafficking were discussed. Then the ministers signed and exchanged the letter of assistance worth 5 million Yuan to the Myanmar Police Force.

Next, member of the State Council, Minister for Public Security H.E.Mr Wang Xiao Hong awarded the Golden Great Wall Commemorative Medal to  SAC member, Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae. The medal was established by the Ministry of Public Security to be awarded, especially to law enforcement officers from foreign countries. The Union Minister expressed words of thanks after receiving the medal.

Moreover, Myanmar delegation met with  Minister for Public Security and party and cordially exchanged view on matters partaining to cooperation between the two countries.

In the evening, Myanmar delegation joined the dinner hosted by Minister for Public Security.
