Sports activities: Kachin State CM honored victorious students sports team

The honoring ceremony for the victorious Kachin State Team which ranked fourth in the 2023 Region and State Basic Education Student Sports Festival organized by the Ministry of Education in Nay Pyi Taw, was held at No.9 Basic Education High School in Myitkyina Township on Monday.

At the ceremony, the Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan firstly delivered a congratulatory speech for the victorious team. And, the Chief Minister and wife and the Chief Justice of the State High Court presented certificates of honor and cash of honor to the students who won gold, silver and bronze medals at the Sports Festival as well as the administrators and trainers respectively.

Then, State Education Officer U Khin Maung Htwe extended words of thanks in return. And, the Chief Minister and wife and concerned officials enjoyed lunch together with the administrators, trainers and athletes from the victorious team.

Next, the Chief Minister and wife, the Chief Justice of the State High Court, State Ministers and departmental personnel attended the opening ceremony of Myitkyina Zone University Football (Men) and Volleyball (Men/Women) tournaments held at the football stadium.

And, the Chief Minister and concerned officials warmly greeted the administrators, trainers and athletes of the participating teams. The Rector of Myitkyina University opened the football tournament of the Myitkyina University team and the Mohnyin University team by kicking the football.

Then, the Chief Minister and officials enjoyed the football (men) and volleyball tournaments (men) held at the indoor gymnasium and provided cash assistance for the tournaments.
