Spreading Disinformation: Clarifying the fake news on the attacks in Rakhine State

Rumors circulating on social media platforms alleging that 11 civilians were killed and 6 were injured due to Tatmadaw’s heavy weapon attack and airstrike on KyaukTaw, Myauk-U, MaungTaw, MinPyar and Ann Townships in Rakhine State.
The true incident is that AA insurgents launched heavy weapon attack and drop bomb attack to security forces locations and caused explosions in residential areas. The destructive media outlets are intentionally spreading misinformation through social media platforms to divert attention from the destructive acts committed by the terrorists and to sow discord among Tatmadaw members and public.
