Spring plum blossoms at ancient town draw visitors in Guizhou

Plum flowers have entered the blossoming season in Bijie City, southwest China's Guizhou Province. Many visitors came to the Shuixi Ancient Town to capture the attractive floral scenes.

The plum is an iconic symbol of the spirit of perseverance in Chinese culture.The ancient Chinese regarded the flower as brave, pure and noble. The harsher the winter is, the more beautiful and fragrant flowers are. For this reason, winter season is usually associated with plum blossoms in China. During January and February, the flowers are in full bloom in many parts of the country.
