Technological Development: Union Minister inspects universities in MaUbin and Yangon

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw, together with concerned officials visited the MaUbin Technological University on Friday and met with the Rector, departmental heads, teachers and staff.
During the meeting, the Union Minister gave instructions to turn out talented engineers contributing to the country’s development by producing human resources that can support the technology sector development in the community.
Then, the Union Minister and party viewed around the classrooms, laboratories, equipments, libraries, workshops and students’ dormitories and fulfilled the needs. Upon the arrival at West Yangon Technological University on Saturday, the Union Minister and party met with Rector and academic staff.
During the meeting, he emphasized the needs for constant learning in order to keep abreast with international universities. He also instructed the teachers to conduct research based on the needs of its own region and to give systematic training to the students according to the curriculum.
After the meeting, the Union Minister and party toured around the practical rooms,computer rooms,teaching aids,library and workshops and coordinated the needs.
