Tokyo Summer like weather

People in Tokyo and surrounding prefectures are enjoying summer-like weather, with temperatures topping 25 degrees Celsius.

Japan’s Meteorological Agency says it is shaping up to be warm, fine weather on Sunday in the Kanto-Koshin region, thanks to a high pressure system. It’s the highest in March since the Meteorological Agency began keeping records. Today, the mercury rose mainly along the Pacific coast of eastern and western Japan.

Daytime highs topped 25 degrees in many places — 28.6 degrees in Kofu, 27.4 degrees in Maebashi, and 27.1 degrees in Shizuoka. The highest temperatures for March were recorded at 70 locations nationwide. It was as warm as early July in central Tokyo.
