Tour in Yangon: Inspection at offices and warehouses

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myin tKyaing accompanied by concerned officials paid a visit to the Department of National Registration and Citizenship in Yangon on Saturday morning. During their visit, the official in charge reported on the ongoing progresses, works undertakings and requirements related to the digital record keeping.

The Union Minster gave instructions to conduct an effective record keeping system using modern technology and to prioritize documentations as per region and state. He later toured around the record process of national register documents, using digital technology and coordinated the needs to the officials.

The Union Minister oversaw the maintenance of records, lighting and ventilation in the record-keeping rooms, as well as repairing of rooms for record-keeping. He then gave instructions to the officials to pay special emphasis for the fire prevention and pests’ control.Next, the Union Minister proceeded to the Thaketa Township Immigration office and inspected around the office rooms and record keeping rooms.

He instructed the relevant officials to keep clean and green environ inside and outside the office, fulfilling the requirements upon officials' presentations.He later visited the warehouses of the Ministry of Immigration and Population and inspected record keeping systems of warehouses and maintenance of citizenship scrutiny cards, office forms, old statistical records and old office equipment.

The Union Minister gave instructions to officials to supervise the systematic maintenance of inventory lists of warehouses and to conduct constant observation on pests’ control, fire prevention and stage drills as well as prevention the inflow of water in order to avoid damages to the preserved items.
