Tourism Development : Dy. Minister meets tourism related personnel in Pathein

Deputy Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Phyo Zaw Soe visited Pathein in Ayeyawady Region on Sunday to meet with representatives from the Pathein District Destination Management Organization, hotels, and tour agencies, as well as officials from the hospitality sector.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister stressed the importance of cultivating new destinations for development, aiming to attract both local and international visitors while ensuring their safety and optimal services. He emphasized that the growth of the tourism industry could help progress in related sectors such as transportation, entertainment, food and beverage, commodity flow, and MSME businesses.

The Deputy Minister called for the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders to successfully implement the development initiatives in the hotels and tourism industry. The attendees provided updates on ongoing projects, outlined future plans, and discussed obstacles that need to be addressed.

In the afternoon, Deputy Minister U Phyo Zaw Soe visited the Pathein Branch Office of the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism, where he met with officers and staff, providing necessary instructions for their roles in advancing the tourism sector.
