The meeting of the Union Government took place in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday, with the attendance of Chairman of the State Administration Council, Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
The Prime Minister emphasized the attack in Shan State (north), launched by the combined force of MNDAA and TNLA. Similarly, transport facilities and security posts have been attacked in Kachin State. Despite the warnings against damaging regional stability and tranquility, the KIA used massive force during the attack, necessitating a counteraction.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister recalled his speech during the 8th-anniversary celebration of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement, where he extended an invitation for peace, provided that the opposing parties respect and abide by the 2008 constitution without harming "Our Three Main National Causes."
The Prime Minister stressed that the government operates on the basis of mutual trust, but counteractions will be taken in response to attacks.
In his speech, he underscored the government's commitment to resume projects that had been halted due to various circumstances, promote the successful implementation of agriculture and livestock works to boost production, support MSME development, and encourage the systematic use of fertilizer.
He emphasized the importance of carrying out tasks with responsibility and accountability, following a system of "Check, Recheck, Counter Check."
The Prime Minister called for practical efforts to create job opportunities and urged officials to seek ways and means to ensure the success of government projects, as the state's development could be significantly hindered if projects are not implemented effectively.
He encouraged all Union Ministers, region, and state Chief Ministers to work diligently to achieve the government's policy goals. Then, the meeting continued with the update reports by the Union Ministers.
In his conclusion, the Prime Minister praised the successful organizing of the 24th Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition.
