Union Government Meeting: SAC Chairman Prime Minister addressed the meeting

The Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivered a remark at the Union Government Meeting (7/2023) held at the meeting hall of the SAC Chairman’s Office, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on December 4. 

The meeting was attended by the Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win, Union Ministers and officials and the Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council and Chief Ministers of regions and states attended via Video Conferencing. In his remark, the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister first stressed the need to make effort for growing winter crops after harvesting crops of monsoon season.

Then, the SAC Chairman encouraged for the development of perennial crops such as coffee and rubber.He called for those who have capacity to invest in the coffee plantation and production. He pointed out that some have not implemented agriculture on the farmland granted for that purpose and instructed to carry out systematic scrutiny in the dealing of such farmland and repeal the grants for those farmlands.

The SAC Chairman highlighted the increase of revenue and instructed to increase tax space rather than tax rate, needs to boost export of border trade as well as normal trade. He pointed out regarding with the reports on the enjoying benefits by the importers while the exporters are undertaking by bearing loss, the government’s effort to ease for such matters and clarified to do business for the benefits as well as for the interest of the country.

He also suggested to fulfill the necessary technologies for the weaknesses in the quality and packaging. The Prime Minister gave insight to encourage the MSMEs based on the natural products such as timber, bamboo, cane and other products.

Regarding with the education and health sectors, the SAC Chairman instructed to provide the administrative and security measures for the basic education sector by the related regional governments and officials concerned. And he acknowledged the personnel under the Ministry of education and the healthcare personnel who are serving the duties under the difficult situations.

The SAC Chairman pointed out the local residents fell into the victims of the adverse effects caused by the senseless terror acts of some ethnic armed groups highlighting the situation of Rakine State which was on the path of development and turned to be unstable due to the AA armed group and the situations in Kayah State under difficult situation for the rehabilitation and rebuilding caused by the terrorist groups of KNPP and KNDF.

The SAC Chairman said that the three main national causes: non-disintegration of the Union, non-disintegration of the national solidarity, perpetuation of national sovereignty are adopted with the national assumption. As the country has been built strongly with the State constitution based on the three main causes, those will never be hurt.

If the terrorists hurt the three national main causes, the adverse effects will be suffered by the relevant local people. The Prime Minister also encouraged to do the sports activities not only in the cold season but also in all seasons.Next, the Union ministers clarified the relevant sectors. After giving necessary instructions regarding with the clarifications by the SAC Chairman Prime Minister, the meeting was concluded.
