Venezuela introduces new national football coach Batista

Argentine Fernando Batista says he is "excited" to succeed Jose Pekerman as coach of the Venezuelan national football team, and aims to qualify World Cup, he tells reporters at a press conference in Caracas.

He previously coached Colombia from 2012 to 2018, resigning after it was knocked out of the 2018 World Cup by England via a penalty shootout in the last 16. Venezuela is the only South American country that has never played in the World Cup.
