Vibrant celebration to empower women in Sri Lanka

A bustling celebration of International Women's Day was organized by the Assistant High Commission of India in Sri Lanka's Kandy. The event featured various activities such as dance performance, health awareness, empowerment sessions and discussions.

Eminent speakers talked on various issues regarding women and also encouraged the women present there to lead a healthy, successful life.  The celebration, participated by 400 women from diverse backgrounds, included a medical screening camp and an Ayurveda Medical Camp benefiting hundreds of women.
