Vietnamese Fruit and vegetables will see great export potential in 2023

Viet Nam’s Durian exports in eight months accounted for 30% of total turnover.

Durian is a major contributor to the export record of fruit and vegetables in the country with 1.2 billion USD in revenue.

In particular, the increasing momentum of this fruit is forecasted to continue because while durian is out of season in other Southeast Asian countries, Vietnam has a longer growing season advantage.

With this momentum, experts believe fruit and vegetable export turnover in 2023 may reach 5 billion USD.

However, despite the impressive export growth rate, ensuring quality to retain export markets for Vietnamese vegetables and fruits remains necessary.
