WHO and partners accessed Al Aqsa hospital in Gaza, for the first time since 13 January. WHO provided trauma supplies, medicines, and tetanus toxoid vaccines to address the health needs of patient. Additionally, UNFPA supplied enough supplies and medicines for an estimated 3,000 safe deliveries.

The hospital has gradually restored functionality, expanding from just five doctors in January to approximately 300 physicians and 400 nurses. Patients are being treated in every available space, including on the floor. The hospital urgently requires beds, mattresses, surgical supplies and equipment, anesthesia, painkillers, and dialysis supplies. They have also requested expedited facilitation for patient referrals outside of the Gaza Strip.
