Work coordination meeting: MoALI DM emphasized implementation of OSZs

A work coordination meeting to successfully implement the special zones for the acceleration of oil crops production in Mandalay Region, Sagaing Region and Shan State in 2024-2025 fiscal year was held at the Mandalay Region Agriculture Department Staff officer’s office with the attendance of the Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Tin Htut on 26th April.
At the meeting, the Deputy Minister clarified the requirements in sharing agricultural knowledge using E-extension service and explained the current work implementations such as providing information related to market condition, weather, pest management using digital media to increase yield and the income of the farmers.
Then, the departmental officials and oil crop special zones in-charges presented reports on current work implementations and tasks to be carried out and the Deputy Minister supplemented the reports.
Then, the Deputy Minister and officials met with the private entrepreneurs and clarified the instructions of the government in local edible oil sufficiency and made discussions on the exerted efforts of the relevant departments to be able to provide necessary assistances for the development of oil crop sector and called for the concerted efforts of the relevant departments and private entrepreneurs.
Then, the Deputy Minister provided necessary instructions to conduct effective knowledge sharing activities and research which involved all of the relevant individuals from cultivation and production sectors.
