Work Coordination Meeting: MoALI Union Minister addressed the meeting

A work coordination meeting (1/2024) of Central Committee for Animal Health and Livestock Development was held at the Office No (15) in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 14th February and attended by the Committee Chairman Union Minister U Min Naung, Vice Chairman Deputy Minister Dr. Aung Gyi and Central Committee members.

Speaking at the meeting, the Union Minister said that in line with the country’s economic objective “to enhance development based on agriculture and livestock-inclusive of entire ethnic people to ensure prosperity and food security of the nation using modern production techniques and to strengthen all-round development in other sectors of the economy”, as the livestock production sector plays the major role for the development of country’s meat sector and food security, the collective efforts are needed to implement by setting the systematic plans for the development of the livestock sector complying with the policies and objectives of the Ministry and the LivestockBreeding and VeterinaryDepartment.

Next, the Committee Secretary Director of the LivestockBreeding and VeterinaryDepartment Dr. Ye Tun Win clarified the completion of decisions made at the meetings (1/2023 and 2/2023) and the plans to be implemented. Then, the Central Committee members Directors General of the departments, chairmen of Myanmar Veterinary Council, Myanmar veterinary association, Myanmar Livestock Federation and responsible persons reported related matters and the Vice Chairman Deputy Minister made a review. After discussing General matters by the attendees, the Union Minister gave a speech of conclusion.
