Wushu Competition: 2023-2024 Regions and States Wushu competition opened

With the aim at turning out new generation of Wushu athletes from regions and states, the opening ceremony of 2023-2024 Regions and States Wushu Competition was held at Wunna Theiddi Stadium (b) in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 7th March.

The ceremony was attended by the members of State Administration Council Daw Dwe Bu, Porel Aung Thein, Dr. Hmu Htan, Dr. Ba Shwe, Khun San Lwin, U Shwe Kyein and U Yan Kyaw, Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, departmental officials, president of Myanmar Wushu Federation and members, coaches and athletes from the contestant teams.

Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan gave an opening speech saying that the athletes who will compete in the competition need to show their ability and quality with utmost effort, sportsmanship and Union spirit…etc. and opened the 2023-2024 Regions and States Wushu Competition.

Next, the SAC members, Union Minister and officials cordially greeted the athletes and enjoyed the women aged 12 and above Wushu competition event of Toalu Changquan and men and women Wushu event of Sanshou. The competition will take place from 7th to 11th of March at Wunna Theiddi Stadium (b) and any enthusiast can enjoy the competition with free of charge.
