Xi on China-Germany relations

Chinese President Xi Jinping met with visiting German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Beijing on Tuesday morning, emphasizing the strong development of relations between China and Germany.
Xi warmly welcomed Scholz, who is on a three-day official visit from Sunday to Tuesday at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang. Scholz's itinerary included visits to the southwestern Chinese city of Chongqing and Shanghai Municipality before his arrival in the Chinese capital.
Xi commended the advancement of China-Germany ties over the past decade. In response, Scholz lauded the progress in bilateral relations since his last visit to China in 2022 and shared insights from his current visit over the past two days.
