Youth Affairs: MoSYA UM addressed the workshop on youth

Aiming to promote understanding and strengthen relations among youths in accordance with the objectives of ASEAN Community and youths participation in ASEAN Work Plans on Youths, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs organized a Workshop on Youths at Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.

In his opening remark, Union Minister U Min Thein Zan said that the Department of Youth Affairs under the Ministry is coordinating for connection with International Youth Organizations and Non-Governmental Organizations for effectively cooperation in various sectors. And, he also said that the Ministry is making preparations to chair the 13th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Youth and related meetings during the months of October or November in 2024.

He also called for cooperation of next generation youths in future working processes by applying knowledge from workshop. Then, the video clip of the Deputy Secretary-General for ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community was screened. And, ASEAN Secretariat made clarification on working processes for youths in ASEAN community. 

After experts made discussion as per the related sectors, youth representatives actively participated in the programme. As the Sideline event of the workshop, ASEAN Talk Watch-party and Feedback Session will be held with virtual system on January 18th.
