Youth and Literary Arts: PM opens Youth and Literary Arts Exhibition

In commemoration of the 76th anniversary of Independence Day, Youth and Literary Arts Exhibition was opened at Wunna Theikdi Gymnasium B in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday, 20th of December.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing opened the exhibition by pressing auto button. Next, the artistes from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture performed with the song “Youth and Literary and Fine Arts”.

Then, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivered an opening speech.

In his opening speech, the Prime Minister stressed to pursue the knowledge to understand the current situations of the world, the importance of unity and efforts for the peace and stability of the country.

The Prime Minister called for the teachers and parents to nurture the youth to be endowed with five strengths etc. Afterward, the youth athletes from the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs demonstrated the relevant sports followed the entertainment programs facilitating the Youth and Literary Arts Exhibition.

After the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister and wife and party viewed the displays of booths at the Youth and Literary Arts Exhibition.

The festival aims at sharpening the intelligibility and critical thinking of youths, motivating the young people to read books and publications, know the advantages of literature, uplift patriotic spirit, prestige and integrity through literature and fine arts, adore the independence of the nation with the knowledge of independence struggle and sufferings in the colonial era, enjoy peace, stability and beautifying scenes of the nation with development activities as well as panoramic rural scenes to have the soul for adoring the relevant regions and states, and easily know endeavours of relevant ministries through the displays of booths at the event.

The festival grounds will be open to the public from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm from 20 to 22 December.
