Youth and Literary Fine Arts: Exhibition continues as second day

The Youth and Literary Fine Arts Exhibition, as a gesture of hailing 76th Independence Day, was continued as second day at the Wunna Theikdi Gymnasium B in Nay Pyi Taw on 21st December.

The booths of 14 ministries featured awareness of cyber security, drugs, anti-human trafficking, traffic rules, the record of the State Flag hoisting ceremony, declaration of independence, independence monument, State Flags, honorary titles and medals conferred between 1948 and 2023, book stalls, mobile book shops and photos of Sarpay Beikman.

Assistant Director, Information and Public Relations Department, Aung Thu said "Our department showcases here books and journals published in 2022, Photo Exhibition featured photos of stunning places across Myanmar under the theme “Beautiful and Pleasant Myanmar” and the pictures of senior writers from 20s. It’s aiming at the youth to get interest in books and literature and have good habits of getting knowledge from there and everyone could explore all beautiful destinations with one stop. "

The event was crowded with the ministries’ staff, teachers, students, youths and children.

Grade-9 student (Private School), Aung Khant Kyaw said "I am so happy that our school was invited and pleased that I was chosen to came here and join. Besides our school lessons, we have a chance to study more subjects here plus arts, histories and more. I saw the educational awareness pamphlets and we can participate in quiz section and win prizes also. Since, I know the festival is going to take place for 3 days, I feel happy that everyone could come and join. I’d like to invite my friends as well."

The festival aims at sharpening the intelligibility and critical thinking of youths, motivating the young people to read books and publications, know the advantages of literature, uplift patriotic spirit, prestige and integrity through literature and fine arts, adore the independence of the nation with the knowledge of independence struggle and sufferings in the colonial era, enjoy peace, stability and beautifying scenes of the nation with development activities.

The festival grounds will be open to the public from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm from 20 to 22 December.
