US President Joe Biden signed an executive order aimed at boosting women's health research during a reception honoring Women's History Month at the White House in Washington, DC on Monday. Biden also announced more than 20 new actions and commitments by federal agencies, including $200 million for research at the National Institutes of Health.

Joe Biden, US President said "With the executive order I'm about to sign, I'm directing the most comprehensive set of executive actions ever taken to improve women's health. Ever taken. And I'm going to ensure that women's health is integrated and prioritized across the entire federal government, it's not just women's health -- not just the NIH (National Institutes of Health, ed), the National Science Foundation, the Defense Department, the Environmental Protection Agency, I mean across the board, this is really serious."

Under the order, the National Science Foundation and Department of Health and Human Services are instructed to research ways to use artificial intelligence to advance women’s health research. It also directs the HHS to expand data collection on women’s midlife health and launch an agenda that can guide investments toward menopause-related research.
