BIMSTEC Sec. General on India visit

BIMSTEC Secretary-General Indra Mani Pandey started a two-day visit to India from 9th to 10th May.

During his visit, he visited the BIMSTEC Energy Centre in Bengaluru, India and have several other meetings, said BIMSTEC Secretariat in Dhaka. BIMSTEC comprises seven countries of the Bay of Bengal region: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

It pursues regional cooperation in seven sectors including agriculture and food security, connectivity, environment and climate change, people to people contact, science, technology and innovation, security, trade, investment and development.
