China, Chile discuss cooperation in science, technology, other areas

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Chile's President Sebastian Pinera in Santiago on Saturday. Yi and Pinera are meeting to collaborate more in science, technology, education and measures against climate change. This meeting comes three months after Pinera travelled to Asia, where he met with several Chinese electric vehicle makers. Chile is one of the world's largest producers of lithium, a key ingredient in electric vehicle batteries.
