Chinese mainland reports 43 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday

Chinese health authority said Monday that 43 new COVID-19 cases were reported on the Chinese mainland on Sunday, with 36 being domestically transmitted cases. Twenty-eight domestically-transmitted cases were reported in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and eight in northeast China's Liaoning Province. The other seven were imported cases, the National Health Commission said in its daily report. On Sunday, 10 cases were cured and discharged from hospital, and 560 close contacts were discharged from medical observation. The critical case was one less than on the day. The mainland had reported a total of 2,092 imported cases with zero death.
