Japan government reaction to trade deal with US

Japan wants its farmers and auto industry to feel at ease after signing a trade deal with the United States. The deal signed between Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and US President Donald Trump on Thursday sees Japan keeping auto tariffs at 2.5% and a US promise of no more for now. Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary sought to reassure farmers and industry that the deal was balanced. The deal also covers agricultural, industrial and digital trade.
