Russia's election commission hails Putin's 'record' victory

Russia's election commission hails a "record" victory for President Vladimir Putin after a vote with no opposition, saying it showed the country was "united" behind the longtime leader. 

Almost 76 million people voted for Putin. Putin's victory, which was inevitable, paves the way for him to become the longest-serving Russian leader in more than two centuries. In a victory speech late on Sunday, Putin vowed Moscow would resist outside pressure.
