Summer sports trainings: Sagaing Region CM attended opening ceremony

Under the guidance of Sagaing Region Government, organized by Region Youth Affairs Committee, opening ceremony of 2024 Summer basic and advanced sports trainings was held at the indoor stadium in People’s Sports Ground in Monywa Township in the morning on April 25 and attended by Chairman of Region Youth Affairs Committee Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, region Ministers, region/district/Township departmental officials, coaches and trainees.

At the opening ceremony, Chief Minister gave the words of encouragement for the youth trainees to try hard to bring the honor of the country as the national selections by stepping up from the ward/Village, Township level.

Next, the Chief Minister and officials viewed the demonstrations of Myanmar traditional Martial Art, traditional Chinlone, Karate, Fitness Dance presented by the trainees. Then, the Chief Minister and region ministers provided cash of honor and the sports materials to the demonstrated sports teams.

After that, the Chief Minister and officials cordially greeted the attendees and the sports trainees and the ceremony was concluded. The summer basic and advanced sports trainings including football, Fitness Dance, Karate, Table Tennis, Basketball, Tennis, bodybuilding and physique, Myanmar martial art, badminton will be given out for one month to 350 trainees, it’s reported.
